Description
Bought from Sofology just over a year ago, this is a Missouri 2.5 seater power recliner sofa featuring telescopic power headrests.
It’s a lovely sofa and has had very little use over the last 15 months, it still looks and feels very new. The original purchase price in June 2024 was £2,099.00 and there are no scratches, tears or any sign of damage anywhere.
Reclining system
The reclining mechanism is very clever, both sides of the sofa recline and they do so very intelligently so the whole sofa can be positioned very close to a wall (only a small gap of a few inches is required). The main seats recline via a solid dual system (the first button), the headrests raise up telescopically (the second button), you can also angle them forward (manually) for absolute comfort!
The buttons are on the outside of each end and both feature a USB connection point that you can use to charge your devices from.
Comfort
The sofa is very comfortable, the lumbar support means it’s very supportive and amazing for bad backs – it’s the type of sofa you sit ‘on’ instead of sitting ‘in’.
Fabric and seats
The fabric is from the Sofology ‘Lifestyle’ range and is extremely smooth and hardwearing like sealskin. It’s designed to withstand almost everything you could throw at it, easy to clean and maintain, perfect for busy families.
The seat cushions are made with a foam-wrapped, pocket spring core and a fibre top, they are designed to bounce back into shape and have a lower level of maintenance compared to softer fillings.
Colour and pattern
The colour is officially ‘mocha’, but in reality it looks grey with an incredibly subtle hint of brown, as you’ll see from the photos. The pattern is ‘flecked’ as you’ll also see on the photos, but it’s worth noting that whilst the pattern is quite noticeable in photos, it’s a less obvious in reality.
Transporting
The whole sofa seamlessly splits in two so is great for transporting, you just lift one side and they separate.
Power
In terms of power connections, each side has a power lead that neatly plugs in to the back and wraps underneath the sofa, each end has a standard UK plug, please see the photos.
Warranty
We also bought a PremiereCare 5-Year Warranty covering accidental fabric damage, stains and structural defects + the frame construction and suspension is covered for a lifetime, however I don’t think any of this is transferrable.
