From famed British furniture-makers Multiyork, sadly no longer in business, this is a showstopping sofa featuring first-rate craftsmanship and beautifully patterned covers made of the finest cotton brocade in red and beige. Although it’s a two-seater, it feels very generous and easily could accommodate up to three people. This lovely piece came from a smoke- and pet-free home, where it was clearly very well looked after, and no major issues are found in either the body or covers.
A couple of very minor stains on the linen under-cloth – perhaps an old coffee spill – but no smells (and obviously not visible due to the covers). The gorgeous slip-covers are technically dry-clean-only, but we found no issue at all washing them on a cold cotton wash, where they cleaned up a treat and were very easily put back on. Feather back cushions with very comfy foam seats.
All-in-all a terrific, comfortable, plush sofa with a maximalist design, a gorgeous silhouette, lovely castor legs in front, and a luxurious, elegant personality, ready for its new home. All four legs are easily unscrewed for getting into tighter spaces.
